ABOUT
GAB stands for Granville Ames Beals. While I create much of my work from new and select materials, I really enjoy working with industrial scrap -- repurposing it for new life as a piece of art. Reincarnation? My pieces run from rusty, rough, and earthy to smooth and colorful. I design for interior and exterior. Some are free-standing floor pieces, others meant for tabletops or walls.

ME
METAL WORKER
Love me some metal.
It's hot, it's cold, fluid and firm. Maybe I just love contradiction.
Regardless, when it's pleasing, it's art. And when it's art, I'm pleased.

MYSELF
ARTIST
Metal is my favorite medium. I've been an artist since I can remember. Trained in ballet and jazz, with a love for blues music -- harmonica being my instrument.

EYE
SENSATE
I work with metal. Hidden within its dense, cold mass lives a warm sensuality waiting to be revealed. For me, the coarse, loud, and often violent process of working with metal induces a state of surprising tranquility -- almost like a meditation.
